Rivenwood Coppice

Rivenwood Coppice is based in London providing coppice restoration and hedgelaying services and supplying a variety of woodland products, from bean poles and pea sticks to hazel hurdles.

Coppice products are traditional, local, sustainable alternatives to modern imported and mass-produced items such as bamboo canes.

While London might not be the first place you think of in relation to coppice and woodland, it is one of the greenest cities in the world. There are a surprising number of ancient woodlands and nature reserves within the confines of the M25 and the surrounding areas contain many more.

Many of these sites have traditionally been managed to supply London and its surrounds with products made from wood such as charcoal and fencing. Although many are no longer actively managed for produce, they continue to provide a haven for wildlife and for people lucky enough to spend time in them.
